Oman Technology Fund “OTF” aims to put Oman firmly on the map of knowledge leaders in the Middle East, and this can be achieved only through investment in the emerging Omani IT companies, across Oman and in the region. OTF will effectively work on attracting these types of promising projects to launch their operations in Oman to enhance knowledge-based economy, and to develop the ICT sector in general, in addition to providing the opportunity to the Omani youths to participate in this high added value business.
OTF operations focus on defining the futuristic ideas in the technology sector, and amongst the entrepreneurs who have high potential technology and technical innovation ideas/projects, within a geographic area covering Oman and the Middle East, through a phased plan that includes investment, guidance and cooperation. OTF will develop the promising projects, and provide it with the opportunity to reach the global market by employing the high potentials of global partners and investors from USA and Europe.
Our aim is to make Oman the preferred destination for the emerging tech companies in the region, and an attractive and stimulating destination for venture capital.
OTF has three investment projects, investment in the early stage of ideas, under the investment program (otf Techween), the acceleration stage (otf Wadi Accelerator) and growth phase (otf Jasoor Ventures). OTF aims to become the innovation hub in the region and position Oman as the preferred destination for national and international entrepreneurs.
